The bow show

Vogue 1986

All the bows make me think of presents! And after all, what is more beautiful than a brand-new-shoes with the bow-embellished detail? Ok, cool as long as the bow is polished and innovative, otherwise I have to be honest telling you that I didn’t find what I really was looking for.  It is very difficult to insert a bow on a shoe without being boring unless you are Nicholas Kirkwood…

Anyway I think that the bow must be combined with an unusual shoe design, otherwise it has no impact. However, if it is combined with a classic shoe has to be extremely extravagant and totally outside the box. Only like this I can call it high design.

During these days I focused my researches on bows and I am really interested in your opinion. What does mean bow for you and what kind of bow you like most? I made a selection because I think that only a few are very suggestive and innovative but in general I have never seen a cool bow for my shoes yet. Unless we are talking about the new amazing collection of Alessandro Dell’Acqua- N.21. I will dedicate a single-subject post next time!

Here below I add also some bow-details just to show you different styles. In general my favourite accessories are the big bows on the top of the shoe.

And now..what kind of bow do you like? Thin-large-big-minimal-colored-funny-studded-golden-patent?  I hope this post make you consider that the beauty is to create something which is not only incredible to see but also well-balanced with the entire structure and accessories.

Autumn must-have

Autumn Must-Have

This must be the place: Colette Store

Paris, 213 Rue Saint Honorè, a lot of people over there…what happens? Oh oh!  If you are looking for the best trends of the season or just want to know what real fashion is…well… COLETTE is definitely your place.

Colette is a French concept store in the heart of Paris, with three floors perfectly organized:  at the basement there’s a Water Bar where eating&drinking, it’s very cool and charming! At the ground floor there’s a bookshop and a design space with beautiful issues/books/fashion-guides/catalogues and at the first floor an open space with an amazing show of beautiful outfits for women and men, shoes, bags, jewellery, beauty products and an exhibition space.

Saint Laurent, Giuseppe Zanotti, Pierre Hardy, Sergio Rossi, Kenzo, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Carven, Alaia, Valentino, Gareth Pugh, Proenza Schouler… are just some of the beautiful brands displayed. The trends of this season are definitely  furs, decolletè bi-color, parkas (not necessary in military green), anckle boots/ biker boots (I love the one by Sergio Rossi!) prints (like tapestries), oversize coats.

Don’t miss it when you are in Paris! Take a look below and choose your style!
